Hi everyone, hope your 2010 is off to a great start! I’m very excited to bring you a bit of a New Year’s surprise today — we’re announcing another winner in our Win-a-Day on the Blog contest! That’s right, not five but six stampers will soon be spending a day on the blog with a Hero Artist. Now, I’m honored to announce my pick…the one and only Alice W. (Aliceh83) — Alice Wertz!

Alice is such a talented artist, and I continually find myself drawn to her work. There’s just something about her “simple with a twist” style that is so appealing — not to mention her always inspiring use of color!

Speaking of color, I’m in LOVE with the cheerful, eye-catching palette Alice used on the card below, and she nailed the design. Clean, simple, perfect…

Alice’s gorgeous butterfly ATC stopped me in my tracks. Here she even used a digital element (the butterfly) which she then colored with Copics. So pretty!

Alice used an embossed resist technique on this next card, but who could resist? Certainly not me. I love the soft look she achieved here, and the glitter and pom-pom details top it all off…

And finally, check out the fabulous layered flower Alice created here with the use of the Antique Flower Background stamp. Matching butterflies too! Add in the pale blue flourish background and this is an absolute beauty.

Congratulations Alice! I’m so looking forward to working with you on our day together! I have to say, I’m not-so-secretly hoping some of your amazing Copic coloring skills might rub off on me.
