More Cards That Give

Hi everyone!  It’s Kelly here and I’m going to continue on with Jennifer’s “Cards that Give” theme from last week.  This week I will be sharing a few holiday and non-holiday themed projects to give you some creative ideas for gift giving.

Today I have a project created by the very talented Erin Lincoln.  She created a box with a front flap that opens like a card…and inside is an adorable pair of earrings.  This would also be perfect for holding other pieces of jewelry such as a necklace or pin.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card.  I love how she put the band around the card.  It makes you feel like you are still opening a wrapped present.

Thanks for sharing this amazing project with us Erin!

So the challenge continues…we invite you to create a new card or tag that incorporates/holds a gift, using at least one Hero Arts stamp or digital element. These projects can hold gift cards, bookmarks, money, ornaments - anything you can think of!  Just submit your creations to the Hero Arts Flickr Group by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 27th - this is a two week challenge due to the busy holidays - and be sure to tag them with the phrase “givingcards.” By entering, you could win a shopping spree of your choice of Hero Arts products from the Hero Arts Online Store! (Shipping charges apply.) Winners will also receive a 2010 Hero Arts catalog, sent separately. The prize amounts are as follows:

  • Fresh Face Winner (someone who has not yet won a contest): $50
  • Digital Winner (create something using a Hero Arts Digital Kit): $50
  • 1st Place: $50
  • 2nd Place: $25
  • 3rd Place: $15

Also, if you missed out on our 2010 Catalog Blog Hop last Friday, be sure to click HERE to start the hop. Over 30 artists shared projects using a selection of brand new 2010 stamps…you won’t want to miss it! There are lots of prizes up for grabs and still time left to comment for a chance to win.

And if you attended a Preview Party last weekend, we would LOVE to hear about it!  If you took photos, we’d love to see them as well.  You can share them with the Hero Arts community over on our new Facebook page HERE - look in the left hand column for “fan photos”. We will be picking a lucky winner of some new stamps!

I look forward to seeing what you create this week!

Hi Sandra - Erin used two different stamps to make the flowers…the Silhouette Flower, which is a cling stamp and the Silhouette Corner, which is a woodblock stamp. Isn’t this such a cool look she came up with!?! :)

Great inspiration! Love the challenge. I just posted mine in the flicker gallery, although I’m not sure it’s showing when the tag is searched.

    Mine is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28757687@N07/4220772486/

    Thanks!
