More giving…
Welcome back to our week of giving!
I know times are tough right now for many of us, so ideas for thoughtful yet inexpensive gifts are sometimes best. How about creating a card that holds two packets of tea or hot cocoa for a friend? Inside, you can write a message about enjoying the warm treats together. It is sure to make them smile.
Here are two very similar variations on a tea pocket card idea. However, you could easily change it up to hold money, gift cards or photos. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you could create the pocket with several brads or hand-stitching.

Supplies:
- Flourish (on blue card background)
- Flourish Pine (on green card background and ornament)
- Snowflake Circle (on blue ornament)
- Holiday Sayings
- Fall Colorbox Chalk Ink Queue (on green card background)
- Soft Pool Shadow Ink (on blue card background)
- Blue Memories Ink (on blue ornament)
- White Embossing Powder and Versamark
- Red Metallic Decor, Clear Gemstones and Snowflake Gems
- Baby Blue and Lime Notecards
- Diamond Stickles (on blue ornament)
- Other: Sewing machine, Making Memories ribbon, EK Success 2 3/4″ circle punch, Creative Impressions silk ribbon, string, button
See the ornament on these cards? I get a lot of questions about how to create them. It is simple! Just punch a large circle. Then slide the circle back into the punch slightly offset and punch again, as shown. Easy!
Many people commented how they like the idea of making a card that holds a gift card yesterday. So, I thought I would take a stroll down memory lane and find some more inspiration for you. I shared this design for holding a gift card last October… including a video.
