Instructions for Typepad

Typepad has an article for how to do this HERE. Just follow along, and change the “.jpg” to “.gif”.

Instructions for Blogger

Blogger has an article that covers how to add lots of nifty things to your blog sidebar, including images, right HERE. Follow the instructions for adding an element and then select “Picture.” Note that you will have to upload the image to Photobucket or a similar service, as blogger does not accept gifs.

Image too wide?

If the image is too wide, you can change the width in the <img> tag by adding

width=”123″

where “123″ is the width that you would like. So it would look like

<img width=”123″ src =”blinkie goes here” />
