Click on over HERE to find a store near you that’s hosting a party!  Keep checking back, as stores are still being added.  If your store isn’t listed and they want to join in the fun, let them know that they can contact Lay at Hero Arts for more info, or call us at 1-800-822-HERO (that’s 1-800-822-4376, or 510-232-4200 for international inquiries). Party goers will be the first to see all of the wonderful NEW 2010 Catalog stamps!

Mark your calendars, because we have even MORE fun planned for the 18th, as we host our first official Hero Arts Blog Hop! We’ll hop between Hero Arts artists and special guests, previewing the new 2010 stamps and providing lots of inspiring ideas that feature the newest images. And of course there will be many prizes along the way too! We hope you can join us for the fun!

Now, back to our week of holiday tags with the Web Artists! Today we’re going to share two terrific tag sets that are specially packaged for gift giving. Who wouldn’t love to receive a sweet little bundle of hand stamped tags? It’s a thoughtful expression, and everyone can use them, especially this time of year!

First, Kandis Smith put together a stunning ensemble, and here she is now to tell you all about her gift tag set and matching box!  “One thing you will constantly be reaching for this holiday season is gift tags! I use them on all of my gifts including goodies plates for the neighbors and a special something for my children’s teacher. It’s nice if you can make multiples and store them in a festive box–this makes gift giving a snap!”

First, take a look at the outside of the box…be still my heart!

Then, lift the lid and look at the beautiful tags contained inside!

Supplies:

Tips from Kandis:

  • Paint your paper mache box and then when it dries, stamp your design. Layer a thin coat of varnish over the top and then immediately sprinkle with glitter. Shake off excess!
  • Layer, layer, layer!! It’s so easy and it really makes your tags look like they took more time than they actually did!

Next we have another fabulous set created by Robyn Werlich. I just love her clean and simple snowflake design! Robyn says, “Don’t be afraid to use bright colors on your projects this holiday season! I am always so inspired by color and these bright colors are making me so happy right now - so I went with them and I think the tags turned out fresh and modern. It’s a fun twist on the traditional holiday colors!”

Supplies:

Tips from Robyn:

  • Tie the strings of six tags together with pink string in a bow. Give to a friend with a yummy treat so that her gift tags needs are all taken care of for the holiday season.
  • Add a small Silver Metallic Decor spot to the middle of each snowflake.

Either of today’s projects would make such  great hostess gifts! The holiday party season has officially started, so the next time you’re a couple of hours away from heading out the door and in need of a quick hostess gift, consider using the supplies you already have on hand to create some unique tags!

Now to finish off the day with a bang, let’s find out who’s won the Ink ‘n’ Stamp Merry Messages set from Tuesday’s post!

Random.org picked #175, which belongs to…

  • Marge E (December 1st, 2009 at 3:07 pm): ” I love the tags with photos. What a great idea. Love to win the stamp set. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and techniques.”

Congratulations Marge…hope you “Ink ‘n’ Stamp” to your heart’s content with this sweet set! Please send your contact info to the winner’s email address, located over in the blog sidebar under the heading “Email Us” and we’ll send your prize right out!

Thanks everyone for stopping by today. Have a good one!
