Picture Perfect Tags (Plus Giveaway!)
Hi everyone! We’re back with more holiday tag ideas for you, and today we have a fun little twist — all of the tags include photos! It’s a wonderful way to add a personal touch to a gift.
First, Sheri Reguly turned some favorite photos into fabulous handmade tags that can double as ornaments. What a great idea! Here’s Sheri with more: “Add a special touch to your holiday parcels with decorative photo tags. By addressing whom the package is for on the reverse side of the tag, these festive designs can easily be adapted to keepsake tree ornaments. Be sure to include the date on the back as well, and start a tradition family members will cherish for year to come.”
Hero Supplies:
- Ink ‘n’ Stamp Merry Messages
- VersaMark
- Chalk Ink Queue - Christmas
- Embossing Powder - Clear & White
- Poinsettia Art Flowers
- Star Gems
- Silver Metallic Decor
- Ranger Diamond Stickles
- Other: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), patterned paper (Bella BLVD), scalloped rectangle die (Nestabilities), circle punches (EK Success, Marvy Uchida), decorative edged scissors (Fiskars), ribbon (Michaels), twine, machine stitching, adhesive foam
Sheri’s Tips:
- Add dimension to your design by adhering cut out stamped embellishments with adhesive foam.
- Add a touch of holiday sparkle to your tags by embellishing them with Silver Metallic Decor, Star Gems, and Diamond Stickles.
Leslie Lightfoot had a similar idea, combining black and white photos of her adorable kids with stamping and other embellishments. Love these! Leslie says, “Tags are a simple way to dress up and personalize your Christmas packages. For mine, I plan to hang them on the Christmas tree.”
Supplies:
- Artistic Windows
- Designer Christmas Postage
- Memories ArtPrint Brown Ink
- Memories Colonial Blue Ink
- Art Flowers White & Cream
- Assorted Clear Circles
- Light Green Accent Pearls
- Other: scallop punch, patterned paper (dot), green brads, red embroidery floss
Supplies:
- Antique Flower Background
- Designer Christmas Postage
- Snowflake Medallion
- Memories Cherry Red Ink
- Silver Metallic Decor
- Other: patterned paper, photo corner, clips, white string, circle punch
Leslie’s Tip: Think of different ways to hang your tags. I used brad fasteners to hold my string on one tag, and on the other I used hinged clips as a unique hardware that just clips in place.

Lovely tags! I do stamps some tags every year, to add to gifts, especially to little gifts to people who have helped with different things during the year. Tags are so much fun to make.

I LOVE to make holiday tags each year … using up the bits and pieces saved from other projects. Hero Arts penguins are my favorites! My Stampin’ Buddies and I spent an afternoon together creating and coaching each other along with our shared holiday tag supplies. So much fun!

Wonderful projects. I love making tags and try making some each year. They are small and a quick project. Besides it is a way of using some of the scrap paper and embellishments that you have. there are so many cute stamps in this set and I can think of so many tags to make. Thanks for sharing.
