Fall Palettes, Take Two!

Hello and welcome back to our week of Fall colors with the Web Artists! Let’s meet today’s colors…

fallpalette-2

The teal adds a little spark to this Fall palette, providing interest to an otherwise traditional scheme. Because monitors display colors differently — and because I like to name colors ;) — let’s call these: Rust, Light Kraft, Teal, and Milk Chocolate.

I jumped at the chance to play with this gorgeous color combo and designed a card for autumn that uses tone-on-tone variations of the colors in the palette. I stamped the leaf, the brocade pattern, and the word “Autumn” with darker shades of ink for subtle contrast and just a bit more diversity.

Next, take a look at how Kelly Rasmussen took these colors and used them for a birthday card — love it! Kelly says, “Fall color combinations don’t have to be just for Thanksgiving. Use them for other special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. This birthday card can easily be adapted to any season, just by switching up the color combo.”

Supplies:

A tip from Kelly: To create the tiny dots on the bottom half of the card, just stamp the Raindrop Background image with VersaMark or another ink that will barely show up. Then use a white gel pen to lightly trace the dots.”

Now it’s time for a giveaway! Kids get back-to-school clothes — I say we get back-to-Fall stamps! Today we’re giving away the Clear Design: Season of Giving stamp set plus a package of our fabulous new Felt Leaves.

Darn it! I think I may be too late, but I thought I’d chance it anyway. I have these felt leaves, and they are beautiful! I am so hooked on felt lately, it’s DANGEROUS!! Oddly enough, I have no specific Thanksfiving stamps, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks ladies!

Wow, you both really did a fabulous job with this color combo! I am so color challenged, but I’m so inspired with both cards here. It’s a Super Sister Stamping Showcase! :P Thanks for sharing.
