Make some pretty patterns

Hero Arts stamps are GREAT for making your own pretty patterned paper. I LOVE preprinted scrapbook and craft paper, but I don’t have too many on hand. So, I usually grab a big stamp, like a DesignBlock, to make my own paper. Most of the time I will do tone on tone, which means stamping a design in a similar color as the paper, like this…

Supplies:

• Dots and Flowers on green
• Four Leaf Grid on kraft
• Flower Background on pink
• Flourish Trio on yellow - This one is not a DesignBlock, but it’s a new woodblock stamp that you can stamp repeatedly for a great pattern!

Or try a small stamp and cover the entire page with one tiny stamp by repeating it, as shown here on this friendship card.

   Sometimes I fill an entire day of doing nothing but creating background paper. Mixing and matching HeroArts designs for this purpose is fast and fun to do. For those of you who are “paperholics” like me, I’ve rescued some drab scrapbook paper by stamping HeroArts designs on them!

   LoVe cling stamps!!! The sturdy-ness of rubber without the bulk of the wood and the storage is the same as clear stamps!!!
