More Tags and a Giveaway!
Since there were only a few new sets available to work with when I created my Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas blog projects, I decided that using only a single set and accessories galore would be my personal challenge.
The three samples shown today feature the new Clear Design: Season of Giving set and can be used as place cards, greeting cards, or tags. By staying with the same color scheme as my Halloween tags I used most of the same supplies. (The combined supply list will follow the projects.)
Our family is spread out across the world from Boston to Dubai so I thought it would be fun to send each family (who cannot be here for Thanksgiving) a gift tote of photos from the entire year. I know some members (who will remain anonymous) never print out photos. Since I am starting this project early I may even add some baby photos of grandpa and grandma. Everyone who comes to Thanksgiving dinner will also receive a tote of photos which I will use as place cards for the table.
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of kraft paper to form a folded rectangle. Stamp a message and three pumpkins on a page from a paperback book, using a black StazOn ink pad. Color the pumpkins and stems with watercolor pencils. Blend the pumpkins with water and when the paper has dried attach to the folded rectangle.
- After punching a hole in the top corner of the rectangle, attach to the front of a small brown tote with colorful scraps of ribbon.
The leaves in this set are wonderful for watercoloring and cutting out.
Instructions:
- Stamp several leaves in black StazOn ink on brown kraft paper. Add color with watercolor pencils, blending the colors with water. Trim around the leaves.
- Cut a square of kraft paper and a small rectangle of orange paper and attach as shown. Stamp the message to the right of the orange paper in black ink. Glue the leaves over the orange paper and add a row of orange gemstones along the bottom.
- Add a bow, using two different ribbons. If you want to make this into a notecard, attach to a folded square notecard. (Square notecards usually require extra postage so check with your post office before mailing).
Tip: When adding rows of gemstones use a clear ruler, placed right below the gemstone placement, as a guide. A clear ruler works best so you can see if your placement is level.
Today’s final tag could not be easier to create! Simply stamp, color, and add embellishments.
Instructions:
- Stamp the message on a piece of kraft paper in black StazOn ink. Add a bit of orange shading using colored pencils.
- Layer two paper flowers and a felt flower and glue to the side. Add an orange gemstone to the center.

Beautiful cards! I am thankful for my health, my family and friends. Also, even though I would rather sit at home and scrap, I am thankful that I have a job in these trying times!

Love the Thanksgiving tags! I love the fall! I would say that I am most thankful for my family…that our internet connection is working again, and that it hasn’t been 90+ degrees every day this summer!

I am thankful for many things in my life, but this summer I am especially grateful when it rains. I live in Texas, and rain is scarce and temperatures high this summer. Thank you for the opportunity to acquire some free HA goodies. I love the new cling stamps!

I’m from beautiful british columbia!
And I am thankful for the lucky streak of weather we’ve had out here, especially being on the west coast. We only get really nice weather 2 months of the year (sometimes less!), but these past 2 weeks have been smoking hot in the 30’s. Thats smoking hot for Vancouver and people are complaining, but I’m appreciative that its nice & hot out (as opposed to chilly & gloomy!). With the nice weather out, I’ve been able to spend more time outdoors with my friends & family… i can never get enough time with them!

These are wonder new holiday stamps and supplies. The cards and other projects are great. I am grateful for the summer rains that we have been having. We have been in a drought and every little bit helps. I think we should be O.K. now.

I’m thankful for my family. And also for a first-ever family reunion on my dad’s side — 29 of us in all! It was such a special and momentous occasion.

Thanksgiving has always been my fav holiday!! I am so thankful that even with my husband’s job loss, and struggles to find another one, God is still near and we see His care for us in so many ways! He provides as we need and we have wonderful grown children (includes the spouses as our additional children), Special grandkids, & family support! God is Soooo good!!
