More fun ideas for Friday!

Hi everyone!  Wow, what a FUN week this has been!  We thought we’d answer a few questions that we’ve been getting about the new site, and then share some MORE inspiring designs!

First off, many of you asked how you can tell if a retailer is participating in the in-store pickup program.  And the answer to that is that it’s coming!  Soon you will be able to find participating retailers like The Stampin Post in Temecula, CA’s historic old jail courtyard.

Retailers are still signing up to participate in the program, and their information is being processed.  We’ll let you know just as soon as we can. And!  For the international stampers out there, we’ll let you know about that soon, too!

Next, we had many questions about the search box, and thought we’d clarify that there are TWO ways that it works.  If you are in the store at shop.heroarts.com and do a search, it will return products so that you can quickly add them to your cart.  If you are on any part of heroarts.com and you do a search, it will take you to a page where you can add the product to your WishList, to your cart if it is available, or look at ideas if it’s not.  Hope that helps!

Last question for today is regarding products — many of you are wondering what products are in the store and want to have MORE added.  And the answer is: the products that are currently in the store are all of those in the Spring, What’s Cooking, and Ink ‘n’ Stamp catalogs, plus favorites from the 2009 Catalog. We’ll be adding more all the time!

We’ll be answering more questions in the days to come, plus we’ll have videos too!

And remember to enter our fun challenge  - we have DOUBLE THE PRIZES this week! This week’s challenge is to create something that is inspired by anything on heroarts.com (our main website, not this blog). It could be a card, scrapbook page, technique article, or more from heroarts.com. For details, click HERE.  Here are some of our inspirations and creations…

Our newest teammate, Tami Hartley, always creates masterpieces that are inspiring in design and color, such as this card.  (Click to see in full.)

Our very own Jennifer McGuire wanted to play along again with our fun challenge, especially after seeing Tami’s card.  She loved the combination of colors and Butterfly Garden stamp.

Hero Hostess Lisa Carroll was inspired by the first card’s dotted pearl background and the second’s color scheme.  Here is her gorgeous card.

Wow, such amazing cards!! Love the sun on Kellys card and the simple but elegant background stamp on the brown by Lisa. Jennifers flowers on acetate are so pretty. I have tried that technique and really like the way it looks.

I love these! I’m going to have to look into doing acetate overlays (gorgeous flower layer there!) and that purple bird is a hoot! :)

… and going back and looking again, I have to agree with the previous post- that liquid pearl application is amazing. I’ll admit I’ve never even HEARD of liquid pearls before this but I’ll probably be looking for them after this. Beautiful!
