Fun with Complementary Colors Friday
Welcome back to the final day of Complementary Colors. For the most part Red and Green are considered Holiday or Christmas colors. They look fantastic together and are very eye catching. This combination also reminds me of fresh picked strawberries, apple and cherry trees as well as picnics with red checkered table cloths sitting on green grass.
I’ve invited a few more friends to come play with today’s colors. First up is the wonderful Nichol Magouirk with an adorable layout of her daughter. Nichol was able to pull out all the stops by using a variety of everyday stamps in a fun way.

Next Tami Hartley made this wonderful summer card with a great technique. The apple looks good enough to eat!
Tami said, “I gave the apple some shine with three layers of UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) like Jennifer McGuire demonstrated in her ‘Thinking Inking’ class at Two Peas. For a twist, I used Versamark Dazzle ink instead of regular embossing ink, so the apple has a bit of subtle sparkle.”

I couldn’t leave you this week without doing another give-away! I’ve got more inspiration books for you. This Time, I’ll randomly pick TWO lucky winners from the comments made on today’s post. Just leave a comment by 11:59pm PST to be chosen. I’ll announce the winners on Saturday morning at 10:00am PST. Edited to say: Thanks for your comments, this give way is now closed.
I’ve had a few of you tell me that some of the Complementary Colors for the week were their school colors. I graduated from Laguna Beach High school where ours were Maroon and White, and then Saddleback College which were Burgundy and White… not complementary at all…were yours?
Thanks for playing along this week. You still have time to enter the challenge. You can read all about it in Monday’s post.
Enjoy the week-end!

My college school colors are orange and black. It is like Halloween all school year! Maybe it is better to think about the Bengal Tiger mascot instead?

My high school colors were red and blue and in university they were orange and black. Both nice … neither complementary.

Loved this post! Love Jen McGuire, totally enjoying every second of her Thinking Inking Class, thanks for a little more eye candy from her. My HS colors were Blue and Gold. Most people may not think they are complimentary, but to me, there is no better combo!!! Thanks for the entry!
