I'm glad you enjoyed all our cards! The background on the card was created ike this: 1. Use Cuttlebug embossing folder ("Script") on white paper. 2. "Kiss" Ranger Distress Inks to a Ranger craft sheet (or glass, waxed paper, etc) and lightly spritz with water. Shari Carroll did a video on this - go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi6o5tLSqoM&feature=channel_page 3. Place your embossed panel face down in the inky puddle and twist. 4. Dry with heat gun. 5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 until you're satisfied with the result. 6. OPTIONAL: Use Tim Holtz inking blending tool to apply Ranger Distress Inks and heat set. (If you feel like you want to do a little more blending.) 7. Use a sanding block (I get mine from Sally's Beauty Supply because they're super cheap) to lift off the color from the embossed parts. 8. I was wondering how the background was colored on the grunge board bird card? I sent in some cards for hero yesterday for you card drive. I have been sending cards to soldiers for a couple of years now with my local stamp store.
