Jennifer’s Pick for a Day on the Blog!
Hello, stampers! It’s going to be an exciting week here on the blog, as we announce the five winners of our third ever “Win a Day on the Hero Arts Blog Contest.” Each day this week, a Hero Artist will be stopping by to reveal a winning guest stamper. It’s a celebration of talent, and I can’t wait to get started!
So let’s get right to it…
I’m thrilled to say the stamper who will be spending a day on the blog with me (in June) is…
Lucy’s cards always catch my eye. Always. And I think what I like best about them is that they are always so unique. Her style ranges from cute to classy, complex to simple. She is one of the only people I know who can pull off so many styles, and get each one just right. Another thing I like about her cards is that they seem so inviting. Lucy truly has amazing talent and is very inspiring.
This is a perfect example of how Lucy’s cards are inviting. Imagine getting this card in the mail: You open the envelope and see these soft colors with amazing details. I know I would stare at it in amazement and it would immediately lift my spirits!
Here I love how Lucy used the same stamp as above, but with a totally different look. This one is playful and sweet - the ladybug in the tree is such a great touch! It instantly made me smile.
This card really caught my eye. It inspires me in many ways - the design, the circles, the white embossing - so much to enjoy!
How incredibly creative and elegant is this wedding ring holder?!!! Wow. Very inspiring.
And… it seems her talent for paper crafting has even rubbed off on her fiance. He made this for her for her birthday! So sweet.
Lucy’s photostream is full of amazing cards - you can check out more of her work HERE. I am honored to get to work with her.
Now for the weekly challenge! This week’s challenge is to create a card, layout, or other project using at least one Hero Arts stamp inspired by ANY of the 2,500+ “Win a Day on the Blog” entries. To see the entries, settle into a comfy chair and click HERE - they are packed with inspiration! Then submit your entry to the Hero Arts Flickr Group by 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, May 10th and tag it with the code word “inspiredby-WAD-2009″. Please add a link to the project that inspired you in the description. Here are the prizes:

Great Cards.
I have to ask about the challenge that I am not understaning. Am I to scraplit a card .but put my own twist on the card? Can I use the same colors, or stamps perhaps? I am just trying to make sure I understand. Thanks so much!

Hi Kimberley! Yep, you can design your card around whatever inspires you from another card — colors, stamps, layout…anything really! Please credit the original source of inspiration by providing a link to that card in your description. Have fun!
