Window Challenge Winners + a giveaway!
Hi everyone! It’s time to announce the winners from last week’s Window Challenge! I know we’ve said this before — but, we’ve just got to say it again — this was the hardest challenge to judge yet! WOW, what truly AMAZING submissions! Check out all 437 of them HERE.
And now, without further ado…let’s have the winners!
…drumroll…
Tied for third place are Elin A and maylee q!
Feast your eyes on this visual delight by Elin A — the judges love the colors, use of stamps, and that scallop square window framing everything. WOW!
Then, there’s this simple, yet oh-so-effective circular window by maylee q! Check her photostream for more views of this simply stunning card!
Coming in second place is Jenyfur with this elegant card featuring a scallop circle window and the Clear Design Asian Frame set. This card could be used for so many different occasions!
And now, for first place…
…drumroll…
crzy4stamps-kathy with her super duper clever card! Just look at all the little details, like the lace “curtain”, the woodgrain, the hinges, the gems on the bear! It totally blew the judges away!
And! Check out the inside too! How clever is that picture frame, the wallpaper background, and the bear holding the bunny?
This week’s Fresh Face winner — someone who has never placed in a challenge before — is sharon.holden10! Just look at this cute birdhouse window card! The judges LOVE it! Especially the branch holding the birdhouse and the paper nest!
Here’s the inside of the card — so “tweet”!
For the Scrapbooking category this week we have another tie! The judges loved silvakelly54’s literal interpretation of the window challenge, her use of alphabet stamps, and that woodgrain! YUM!
Then there’s this “hoot” of a layout by craft side of life! She was inspired by her newphew Josh’s love of owls to create this treehouse. Woo hoo!
Now, how about some Honorable Mentions? The judges and I all flipped when we saw this window shade by Paper Girl! Oh. My. Word!
Here it is with the shade pulled up so you can see inside the window — wow!
Next up is this fun shaker card by mi kasa! Love how the hearts in the shaker go so well with the hearts on the stamped image!
Then there’s this super fun card by stampersuzz! The judges all love her unique take on the challenge! Who wouldn’t smile when they received a card like this?
For another take on a window with the Clear Design Japanese Doll set, we have this card by Virginia L! How fun is that lantern hanging out from the inside?
Finally, we have this fabulous birthday shaker card by Lucy, England! What a brilliant idea using sprinkles! Be sure to check out her photostream — Lucy really outdid herself with this challenge!
Winners and honorable mentions, please email the blog with your addresses and we will get your prizes out to you.
Don’t go away just yet, there’s MORE! We’ve added a new feature over there in the blog sidebar on the right — a Weekly Challenge Archive! Just click on a topic to find all the posts for it, plus the winners of the challenge. YAY!
Now, how about a giveaway? Three random winners will receive some great Hero Arts goodies. All you have to do to enter is click on one — or more! — of the archived challenges, check it out, then leave a comment on this post letting us know which one(s) you looked at. That’s it! OMG! Too much goodness all in one place! I enjoyed so many of the archived weekly challenges. Being mom to 3 boys, I especially liked the “masculine”. With a busy life (who doesn’t have one?) I also liked the “last minute” some great inspiration there!
The window cards this week are fabulous! Such great talent and wonderful creativeness. So glad to have it shared. Perfect inspiration as we head into a weekend when I might be able to squeeze in some crafty time! Thank you!!

I love the cupcake card with the sprinkles. Too cute!

Congratulations one and all! Outstanding job. I went over to the ‘minute’ cards and loved the butterfly card and the recycled cards with photos, very clever indeed. Then I went to the ‘Birthday’ ones and just loved the susanne’s pull out tags. After all of that inspiration, I went to the ‘littlethings’ cards and wow, I loved the color blocked one and the tire swing! Great fun, now I can’t wait to go home and make some more cards!!

I looked at “inspired by”, “masculine”, and “threes” and I love the way the same stamp, The Big Owl, was used in so many different ways. Jill S

First of all congrats to all the winners from todays challenges! Loved the shaker card! I also loved the shaker card that Andi made from the inspiredby challenge! I just learned how to make them not long ago and seeing the ones on here have me addicted! I looked at all the archived challenges and my most favorite was the one “inspiredby” It had a little bit of everything to make or learn to make. Wow!! The holiday cards are awesome! loved the snow globes, the embossed christmas card with the white shadowing, stamping on acetate, how to use backround stamps like the one bird on a branch ( I just ordered that and a few others). All the different colors were spectacular to say the least!! I could go on & on. Thanks for all the amazing Ideas!!
