What I like about making cards the most (and sometimes its very hard) is to design my card on the actual person i am giving it to ie:- do they love flowers or are they a pink person? I love to do this and then I love watching them open the card and then they realise the extra effort you have put into making a card that is suited to them. I love the crown cards they are gorgeous. I think they are different and just fantastic!! I spent the weekend with a good friend of mine and I proceeded to make a card. It is full of layers. Firstly I painted my background and patterned it by placing gladwrap over the wet paint and scrunching it up. Then I cuttlebugged it to give depth, cut out some dies to match. These were given height by mounting them up on the card front and added embellishments on top of that. This piece was then mounted onto metallic card and stuck to the front of the bazzill card.
