A Fun Friday and a Giveaway!!
It’s Friday so let’s have some fun. I’ve come up with my final projects for the week and I must admit, I had a blast creating everything pockets just for you!
Today’s cards use a Hero Arts notecard that has been folded about 1 1/2″ (4cm) from the bottom. Think of these as a school folder with pockets on the inside. I score them first then run a bone folder over the crease to make them lay nice and flat.
My first card uses a Kraft notecard and this amazing Scallop Flourish stamp. I’ve punched holes and threaded ribbon to hold the pockets in place.
And here’s a peek at the inside.
Supplies:
- Scallop Flourish
- Great Flourish Messages
- Patterned Hearts Design
- Kraft Notecards
- Accent Pearls
- Card Button Neutral
- Soft Blossom Ink
- Walnut Stain Ink
- Other: Ribbon, hole punch and string
You can also do these cards with Acrylic. Stamp the card with white StazOn before creasing. Just score and fold the same way you would a regular notecard.
And here’s the inside.
Supplies:
- Scallop Borders
- Patterned Hearts Design
- Outline Flowers
- Acrylic Notecards
- Pale Pink Accent pearls
- Art Flowers White and Cream
- Card Button Spring
- White StazOn
- VersaMark Ink
- White Embossing Powder
- Memories Ruby Ink
- Other: Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper, Scenic Route Paper, ribbon scallop punch, hole punch
This next project uses about three cards that I’ve assembled with a Bind It All. You can bind it with ribbon instead if you’d like. I thought this would make a sweet valentines book (of love notes), and then also thought the idea could be used for travel, and baby books. So easy!
And this is how the pockets look on the inside. I’ve used adhesive to hold the pockets in place.
Supplies:
- Heart Flourish
- Patterned Hearts Design
- Soft Blossom Ink
- Soft Pool Ink
- Soft Sand Ink
- Accent Pearls
- White Notecards
- Other: Scallop punches, ribbon various light tone cardstocks, Bind It All
Now the only thing missing this week is a GIVEAWAY!!! Are you ready? I have used one stamp set on at least one of my cards all week and it has become one of my favorites. Today, I’m offering the Scallop Borders set. Just leave me a comment by 11:59pm tonight. I’ll randomly pick three lucky winners. I’ll make an announcement after the weekly wrap up tomorrow. Good Luck!!
Edited to say: This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for your lovely comments!
For those of you that may just be tuning in, this week’s challenge is to include Pockets on your projects. Please use at least one Hero Arts stamp and load your creations into the Hero Arts Flickr pool by Sunday, January 18th at 11:59pm PST. Tag your submissions with the word “Pockets“.
Thanks everyone, this has been such a fun week for me. Enjoy Your Week-end!
