I’ve always enjoyed making at least one crafty thing for family members at Christmas time. This year I was honored enough to go through my husbands Grandparents home after they passed. I walked away with her prime cloth, card making items and tools! This year is going to be quite special because now I have her to help with my creativity! I was able to take some photos with me that I didn’t have of his family and look forward to lay them out on pages! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I love making cards for my family and friends because it makes me feel as if I have created a piece of art for them. At this stage in my life, when all my family and friends are no longer young children and because of the difficult economic times, I give cash as gifts and it is always a welcome gift with the young people who are in college or just starting out in their lives. I am a retired school teacher and creating art is a pleasure for my soul.

Baking goodies for friends, family, co-workers, etc is always enjoyable with my kids. Favorite treats are sugar cookies decorated by the kids, fudge, mint brownies, and lots of breads. I also love making tags for all of the presents under the tree. And all the cards and scrapbook pages! Such a magical time of year!

This is just beautiful! Last year I made 2 snow globes. They were fun and very attractive! One had a nativity scene in it and the other had a picture of my niece (gift for her parents.) So much fun!
