Amazing…
While traveling back from Chicago last week, I had a flight delay. I was whining because I had already had a 3 hour layover. HOWEVER, because of that delay, I met several delightful people. The one that simply charmed me was a sophomore at UCLA who just placed second in the NYC triathalon. She was SIMPLY AMAZING because she did it with one leg and a prosthesis! (with painted toenails!!) She was my inspiration for Motivation Monday!
So, this week’s challenge is to create a card or a scrapbook page for someone amazing or inspirational to you. Here are two cards I made to give you an idea. These are for YOU, Scout!
Post your cards by Sunday, August 3rd at 11:59 PM PST in the Hero Arts Flickr group and tag it with the code word “amazing”. After you have posted your card, send it to someone who has inspired you! In the REAL mail…like with a .42 cent stamp…especially the one with the tiny person carrying the big red heart!!
Here are the prizes:
1st place: $50 of new Hero Arts stamps + a 2008 catalog
2nd place: $25 of new Hero Arts stamps + a 2008 catalog
3rd place: $10 of new Hero Arts stamps + a 2008 catalog
Heartfully yours….

Sally - Your cards are awesome! Thanks for the challenge. You are absolutely right - we should thank the wonderful people in our lives on a daily basis - not just when we have a crisis in our lives! I have never entered a contest but I plan to enter this one! Again, thanks for the challenge!

It’s nice for us to be reminded occasionally that so many people have true hardships in their daily lives that we can barely imagine having to deal with. Your story is poignant! A gentle reminder that a minor inconvenience is simply that!

It is always amazing how one human can inspire another, especially when alll you have to do is listen a little.
