Watch It Wednesday: Celebrate Friendship (+ lots more!)
True Friendships are very special. Sometimes I send cards to my special friends for no reason at all.
This card is a fun card to send “just because”. You can add photos, messages and special greetings on the fold out strip. I decided to see how long it took to make an advanced card quickly (for those of us who are always multi-tasking). By using only 2 colors of ink I was able to create this card in very little time. Stamping more images than I needed I was able to make this card with messages left over for other projects. My desk looked like a refrigerator with magnetic words making up sentences.
This is a wrap around card to give you more ideas for the challenge (click HERE for more on the this week’s challenge.):

Supplies:
- Clear Design Memories (CLICK for a SNEAK PEEK!)
- Clear Design Messages
- Clear Design Share Laughter
- Sparkle Clear Cute Letters
- Lavender Gemstones
- Art Flowers Summer
- Violet Notecards and Envelopes
- Other: purple 12×12 cardstock, ink, paint pen small clips (or use decorative paper clips) glue, paper trimmer, ribbon
Instructions:
- Using a 12” piece of purple scrapbook paper, stamp the strip of flourish borders and trim. Stamp the reverse side of the strip and fold, accordion style. Set aside.
- Stamp the corner flourish in purple on the front of the card. Now that you have your purple ink pad out stamp the message “Friends Always” and any additional words you wish to use to complete your message, on several pieces of light purple paper.
- After stamping 2 flowers in light purple ink, cut out a single flower. Cut the remaining flower petals individually and attach on top of the stamped flower. TIP: placing the petals randomly gives the layered flower more dimension. Add a single paper flower and gemstone in the center. Stamp an additional flower in dark purple ink, cut out and add a paper flower and gemstone to the center.
- Return to the card and stamp a border across the inside page and the back of the card. Arrange the messages as shown adding the layered flower on the front and the darker flower inside. Place messages inside the folded strip, attaching with decorative clips. Tie a ribbon around the folded accordion strip, attaching the back to the card.
Since it is “Watch It Wednesday”, I asked my friend and fellow Hero Artist Lisa to do a video demoing how to use the new 12″ long Clear Design border stamps. The tips she shares can be used for ALL clear stamps.
This is Lisa typing — tomorrow is Nancy’s birthday, so here’s a little video birthday present we all made for her at a class at the craft and hobby show in Chicago last week! (Watch and see if your local retailer is in the class!)
Happy Birthday Nancy!!! HUGE hugs from all of us!
And now for a little present for YOU! Three random winners will receive the brand new Clear Design Birds and Branches (CL219) that was shown in the video!

This set is available for retailers to order now, and will be shipping on August 1st — so you’ll be the first to use this new set! Just leave a comment on this post with an idea for using the new BIG 12″ stamps! The winners will be announced on Friday.
[Update: The winners have been announced -- click HERE to see if you won!]
