A Thursday with Inchies perfect to share and swap!
Welcome back! My week is going so fast. I wish I had more time because I have so many ideas for these, I have to tame my mind so I stay organized. Today I’d like to cover making inchies for trading and swapping. I’ve created two sets for you to check out. I wanted to create two styles as well, comical and vintage.
This first set uses only one ClearDesign set. The idea is to use stamps that are a bit bigger than the inchie, you will over stamp the image to get just a portion.
- Supplies:
For this next set I’ve only used the Design Block Flourish as a background onto pattern paper. I’ve gotten into my stash of itty bitty scraps to create my houses.

I have a special guest artist who was so generous to create these awesome inches. This is Bernie Berlin’s take on the wonderful world of miniatures. Love her bright backgrounds. Check out her blog, she’s a special person for our treasured animal friends. Thanks Bernie!
The Hero Arts Flickr Group is looking great, so many wonderful entries, I’m so thrilled you all are getting into this challenge. I’ve got much more planned for tomorrow plus TWO special guest artists. Yummy stuff!!!
Enjoy the day and create an inchie or two to share with a friend!
Thanks :o)

Lots more beautiful inchies today - thanks Shari & Bernie. I especially love the yummy Basic Grey papers. And as always I am totally in awe of your amazing colouring on the cute animal inchies!

Another fabulous day of inchies. The playful animals inchies are so cute. I don’t have too many animal stamps. This make me want to get the stamp. Thanks again Shari. By the way, on Wednesday’s video, what kind of paper or card stock you use for the watercolor inchies? I try one today with 70 Lbs drawing paper. I have to iron it afterward. Maybe I use too much water?

I am not usually an animal girl, BUT…how can you NOT love these bright, whimsical little things?
I asked Shari about the paper, and she said she uses our regular white card stock. I would think any type of watercolor paper would work too, but some watercolor paper has a rough texture. I say, try anything you have and see how it works!!

I am so curious what Bernie did for her backgrounds? They are so cool.
Where do I buy inchies — I hate to cut. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your creative ideas with all of us.

LOVE those houses! I practically want to move house so I can make up a whole bunch with a change of address
as far as the paper goes, when I use watercolour paper for stamping, I use hot press (HP) because it has a smoother surface

I’m always so late to catch up on things, the dogs keep me busy:)
Thanks so much for posting my inchies!!! I was so inspired, I decided to include an inchie chapter in my upcoming new atc book!!! Will use Hero art stamps of course:)
My best to you all..
Great Blog, by the way!!!!
