An Itty Bitty Motivation with Shari Carroll
Hello My Friends! I’m flying home from New Jersey today after spending three wonderful days at Ranger U learning some great techniques and connecting with friends.
I’m so excited to get started on my week which will cover the wonderful world of INCHIES!!! What are inchies you ask? Well, they are simply 1”x1” pieces of artwork. This adorable format is very popular for papercrafters to use as pieces to swap and collect, much like ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). They are so fun and addicting you’ll want to make a bunch.

Todays inchies are all about creating mini scenes to use on your cards. They resemble window frames looking outdoors. What I’ve done is cut my papers into 1”x1” squares first, temporarily affixed them to my work surface, used paints, inks and pencils to color the papers and stamped images. Sparkle Clear stamps are perfect for decorating this size!
Here’s closer peek.

Ready for a challenge? I bet you guessed it, how about you show me your inchies! Create one by itself or in a grouping and enter in the Hero Arts photo pool tagged with “Inchie”. Use at least one Hero stamp per entry and post before 11:59pm PST on Sunday, June 29th. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
This week I will share with you a variety of styles and ways to stamp your tiny squares of paper (or even fabric) to use on cards or trade with friends. I was also lucky enough to have a few friends jump in on the fun with me. Stay tuned!
Until tomorrow,
