Thanks to everyone for sharing your favorite background techniques with us! And the random winners of the DesignBlock stamp giveaway are…

  • peggy, who wrote at 9:59 AM: I think my favorite is Emboss resist! I love using embossing powder and how you can create that neat effect! So many great ideas - thank you!
  • Stamper2, who wrote at 2:04 PM: Such fun video’s! They certainly make me want to create more cards! For the background, my favorite is the resist technique, but using an iron to melt away the embossed area’s, between 2 pieces of paper! It gives the paper such a “ghostly” appearance! I also like it using irredescent sprays too! :)
  • Candy, who wrote at 5:59 PM, One of my favorite background techniques is to get a tone-on-tone effect by stamping with versamark ink (or a similar color of ink as the cardstock) on my ardstock. It gives a lovely subtle effect.
