Collage Challenge + Little Letters sneak peek winners!
Today is “You’re Talented Thursdays”, when we announce the winners of the previous weekly challenge — this week we’ll be announcing the winners of our second contest, Shari’s Collage Challenge.
Here’s how we decided the winners: each of our judges picked their favorite 10 entries, which were put into a hat. Then Shari’s husband Tom drew the winners. Thanks Tom!
As one of the judges, I have to say that it was a super hard decision! There were so many great entries.
And now…
…without further ado…
Third place in the Collage Challenge goes to Luv2scrap. The judges LOVE all the dimension on this one:
Our second place winner is Jen Ink, with her beautiful use of resist:
Finally, first place goes to Tami Hartley with her stunning mix of patterns and textures:
Wow, aren’t these all gorgeous?
(Winners, please email to the address on the sidebar so we can get your prizes to you!)
Since there were so many great entries, we decided to draw three more entries from the hat to share with you.
The judges loved the colors and stamping on scrapperjjb’s tag –
And laceybugcreations’ clipboard is just too cool:
Loved how 2Kidsandsomepaper created this baby collage — not a subject you normally think of:
As a thank you to the artists of these projects, we will be sending you a favorite stamp set. Please email to the address on the sidebar so we can get it to you. Thank you!
But wait! We’re not done giving prizes away yet!
The random winner of the Sparkle Clear Little Letters sneak peek giveaway is
…drumroll…
cassie, who posted at 9:08 AM! Here’s cassie’s idea for using the letters:
These are so cute! And I love that you get gemstones with each one! I have a 1 year old so we’ll be working on abc’s before too long so I would use these to help him learn the alphabet - create a little book with the letter and then as we find images of things that start with that letter, we can cut them out and add it to the page. I love that each letter comes in several fonts - I think that would really help a child recognize that letters come in many shapes.
Thanks for offering these up - I hope I win!!
Yay! Please email us your address so that we can get these out to you (See link in the sidebar). For those that didn’t win, the Little Letters will be arriving at retailers starting May 1st!
We loved reading all of your ideas for using the letters. Here’s some that really caught our eye:
- Stamping bookmarks for children’s classes and summer reading programs
- Creating a key chain
- Monogram stationary for brides +wedding favors
- Adding names to t-shirts
- Decorating envelopes
- Making gift tags
- Creating backgrounds for scrapbook pages
- Making nursery room decorations
- Using the letters to spell words in different languages
It is great to see that so many people liked watching the video yesterday, too! I loved reading all of your comments! Here’s a little blog tip — to see videos from previous weeks, just click over to the “Watch It Wednesdays” category in the blog sidebar.
Tomorrow we will have another guest artist and more bird inspiration. Don’t forget, this week’s Bird Challenge ends Sunday at 11:59 PST!
