“You’re Talented Thursday” - Lots to share today…
Welcome to “You’re Talented Thursdays,” when we share the winners from the previous week’s challenge. We also will often share some other projects made by YOU. However, since there was no challenge last week (we weren’t here yet!), I am going to share a card made by a new and very talented friend. And, later today I will post again with some fun ideas from other Hero Arts artists. Even better yet… all of these projects are related to this week’s challenge of creating projects with something clear.
Last week, I sent an RAK (Random Act of Kindness) package filled with stamps to a stamper whose work I had seen on the internet and loved. A few days later, I got an adorable thank you card in the mail. I instantly emailed her to ask if I could share it here. Not only do I love this card, but it uses a piece of transparency on it - perfect for this week’s challenge. The talented artist (and super sweet gal) is Lisa Carroll…
Supplies (Card by Lisa Carroll):
- Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Special Friend
- Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Just Wanted
- Hero Arts Thanks
- Black Staz-On Ink
- Hero Arts Red Gemstones
- Other: Transparency, acrylic paint (painted on back of transparency behind stamped flower), red dye ink and pop dots (to lift transparency up from card)
“I love Hero Arts stamps because I just love their images! Elegant or whimsical, they’re always timeless. Combined with the fact that Hero’s products are of the highest quality, they make for one exceptional value. I truly do love Hero Arts stuff… my very first stamp was a Hero stamp! Been a slippery slope of addiction ever since. :)” - Lisa Carroll
I love the look of the paint on the back of the stamped transparency - so sharp! Nice work, Lisa, and thanks for letting us share your card with everyone.
A quick note before I go make some cookies. (Anyone else love cookie dough?) I have gotten a lot of emails asking where you can get these clear goodies that we have been using here on this blog. Hero Arts has put up a shopping area on their website with a section called “Featured on the Blog.” There, you can find the clear cards, tags, circle stamps, cleaner and much more. Just click HERE to find them all. Shipping is super fast. Or, you can contact your local stamp or scrapbook store. Stores are often very happy to place special orders for their customers. Hero makes it really easy for them to do so. We loves our store owners!
Have a good day. I will be back later with more to share. Off to make those cookies…

Hi! I love the card you did yesterday with the acetate! Very cool! I was wondering, what size scallop punch did you use?

This is an absolute beauty, Lis! Happy to say I have several “Lisa originals” in my possession…gorgeous online and even more so in person. I can also vouch for Lisa’s sweetness…blessed to call her friend. (Love ya girl!)

I love the idea of sharing blog reader cards on Thursdays! I will definitely look forward to this day of the blog (as well as all of the rest) - it will actually be on Friday here in New Zealand, which is an added bonus. It’s only hard to think that my Mondays will be void of any new Hero Arts blog postings since it is Sunday in the US. Thanks for letting international readers contribute, too!

Thanks again for all of the wonderful ideas.
Can’t wait each day to check out the site and see what
new creative ideas are waiting to be tried.
Great job, keep up the great work.
Much appreciated.
